British-based Learning with an International Perspective

About Us

Welcome to Tanglin Trust School. With more than 90 years experience of providing British based education to the international community in Singapore, we provide a unique learning environment for children from Nursery right through to Sixth Form (3-18 years).

Whilst our academic traditions and approach to teaching are firmly grounded in an enhanced and rigorous English National Curriculum, there are many aspects of school life that have a global focus which is contextualised to our location in South East Asia. The result is that our students not only achieve excellent results but are open-minded and develop a natural ability to reflect on the international environment around them.

Academic achievement is, of course, important but it is often skills and values which are less easy to measure that will help someone fulfil their potential. The skills and values we consider important for personal development are outlined in the Tanglin Learner Profile, a set of attributes and values that we encourage our whole community – students, staff and parents – to adopt and which underpin our high expectations of behaviour.

Tanglin is a place where children can thrive, inspired by passionate teachers and supported by excellent pastoral care. Our students are confident, articulate and engaged and we are immensely proud of all of their achievements and their positive approach to all aspects of school life. Tanglin really is a very special learning community and I would be delighted to welcome you for a visit.

What does TTS mean to you?

“When I look back over my life so far and the experiences that I have been lucky enough to have, I can say with great confidence and happiness that many of my best memories revolve around Tanglin. In fact, as cliché as it may sound, Tanglin has become my home away from home, as I am truly a third-culture kid. I have grown up with the school and watched the school develop to become what it is today and I could not be more proud to represent everything that Tanglin stands for. From my first school trip to the zoo in Reception, to trekking in the Himalayas in Ladakh a few months ago, Tanglin has given me invaluable opportunities that I will remember and cherish."
