Tanglin Trust School’s commitment to Art & Design from the earliest stage of education can be seen easily by walking through the school buildings, where student work decorates walls and halls. Student pieces, often inspired by visiting artists, are also hung in the School’s gallery, Gallery@level 3, located on the 3rd level of the Tower Block, which forms part of the Junior School building. They are also displayed in classrooms and other spaces around the School. |

At Tanglin, we believe in the total development of each individual, and artistic expression and aesthetic development are seen as instrumental to such growth. |
All students from those in the Nursery through to those in Year 9 (Key Stage 3) have the opportunity to experiment, explore, use varied techniques and materials and develop, build and refine skills in art & design classes. |

Art & design is taught by subject specialists in the Senior School and by class teachers and the Head of Primary Art in our Junior and Infant Schools. The benefits to our students of such broad-based participation in art & design can be seen in the proud looks on the faces of our students as they present works ranging from decorated pirate hats to paintings inspired by the Old Masters. |
