Gymnastics
From September 2008, gymnastics will be included as one of Tanglin’s nine core sports. Gymnastics has always been at the heart of the PE education curriculum across all three schools, along with games, dance, athletics and swimming. As with many of the core sports at Tanglin, our future goal for gymnastics is to raise both the profile and the standards achieved. Already we have seen the introductions of specialist gymnastics coaches to the School’s CCA programme, provided by the Junior Gymnastics Training Centre.  Other developments include the addition of gymnastics specialist teachers to the PE team and the transformation of the current Griffith-Jones Hall into a multi-purpose gymnastics facility.  This will not only enhance gymnastics in the curriculum but will also allow for students to progress to competition standard.
