Parents and Learning Support @ TTS - 31 Dunearn Close
This recently formed group, which is run by parents for parents, meets twice a term over coffee to offer help and support. This group also meets once a term with the learning support teachers for an information afternoon. For further information including dates and venues please click on here.
Camerata
The Camerata meets each Monday evening of term from 7.30 pm in the Music Room on the Ground Floor of the Tower Block, Junior School building,. The Camerata has performed at the Festival of Music in St George’s Church each Christmas and the Tanglin Concerts in 2005 and 2006 at the Esplanade Concert Hall. TTAG (Tanglin Teen Action Group)
The Tanglin Teen Action Group is a support group for parents of Senior School Students and parents of Year 6 students. The TTAG Coordinator is Angela Hutton, School Counsellor.
Angela as TTAG Coordinator represents Tanglin Trust School at the Teen Task Force, a forum for international schools in Singapore.
TTAG organises information events and distributes teen and parenting information from other groups.

Religious Groups
The Tanglin Community is made up of families from many different faiths. If you meet regularly with other worshippers and would like to publicise your meetings to the Tanglin community, please contact the PTA office (ptaoff@tts.edu.sg) and we will add an entry to the Special Interest Group website pages.
Tanglin Prayer Fellowship
This is a Christian inter-denominational prayer fellowship group that meets once a month to pray for the needs of the School. The aim of the fellowship is to be a positive influence on the School.

TTS Working Mums' Group
If you are a Tanglin mum in full time employment and would like to meet up with other mums from Tanglin who have to juggle their career and being a Mum (attending Open Mornings, Sports Days and trying to help in class) this group meets every fourth Thursday evening of each month with no specific start or finish time, allowing Mums to arrive early or late and staying as long or as short a time as they can. The meeting venues will alternate between the Holland Village area and the CBD area and will meet from 7:30pm.

Stay at Home Dads
If you are a Dad and the prime carer and would be interested in meeting up with other “Stay at Home� Dads from Tanglin on a regular basis, please contact the PTA Office (ptaoff@tts.edu.sg) and we will set up and initial meeting for this Special Interest Group.
CCD Registration (Catechism Classes for International School Students)
CCD (Confraternity of Christian Doctrine) is a religious education program for Catholic children. This program is organized for students in international schools in the archdiocese of Singapore and is run by parent volunteers.
Spiritual Advisors: Father James Tan, S.J. and Father Tom O’Neill, S.J.
Registration for the 2009/2010 academic year
Date: Tuesday 1st September and Thursday 3rd September
Time: 3:30 to 5pm
Place: Church of St Ignatius - Ignatius Hall. Entrance at 8 Victoria Park Road
Grade levels begin at Kindergarten (age 5-6) up to Confirmation (age 13-14) and classes are offered on either Tuesdays OR Thursdays. Confirmation classes are offered on either weekly Thursdays OR alternate Sunday afternoons.
Tuesday/Thursday class times are 3:45 to 4:40. For the Sunday Confirmation classes, class times are 4:00 to 5:30.
In Singapore, children receive the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in Grade 2 and the sacrament of Confirmation in Grade 8
**Registration for Confirmation will be held after a Parents’ Meeting on Sept 14th. Attendance to this meeting is mandatory before Confirmation registration.
What to bring for CCD registration (except for Grade 8 Confirmation):
- Contact details, date of child’s baptism, $22 cash fee for textbook
- For Kindergarten class, $30 cash fee for craft materials (no book)
- For the First Holy Communion class (child must be 7 years old at registration) – a copy of your child’s baptismal certificate and a fee of $80 (Cash only – no checks will be accepted)
BUSES: You may sign up for bus service. Depending on demand and availability of a volunteer bus coordinator for each school, buses may be arranged for transport from school to the Church. The CCD ministry does not arrange buses. Singapore American School, Tanglin Trust and United World College bus coordinators will be registering students for buses – $180 for Tanglin Trust School (cash only – absolutely no checks)
BOOKS: Call to Faith textbooks (Harcourt Publishers) will be available for sale at registration and on the first day of class. Each book is $22 (cash only please).
LIMITED SPACE: Acceptance is on a first-come first-serve basis.
**PLACEMENT FOR FIRST HOLY COMMUNION CLASSES: Children will be placed in classes only when we have received the registration forms, $80 cash fee and a copy of the child’s baptismal certificate.
Classes will begin the week of September 22nd.
