A Year 10 drama performance led by Simon Purse, an expert in Shakespearean Acting and medical role-play from the UK. His visit was made possible by the TTS Foundation. 21 March 2017, Drama Studio.
Year 5 performed their class assemblies to parents this week. They have been using their drama skills to bring to life what they have been learning in their Space topic. 21 March, Drama Studio.
Year 10.2 set up a lemonade stand during break time to raise funds for their year group charity, ACRES. The lemonade stand was at the Senior Walkway which was decorated in green for Senior Eco Week. 21 March.
Year 5 and 6 had their Netball and Basketball tournament to win points for their houses. Year 6 even had the opportunity to experience a new challenge in the form of wheelchair basketball games. Many thanks to Chris Rawlings and the team for organising this unique experience. 22 & 24 March.
Singing leaders from the Infant School started their break time Singing Playground sessions this week. 23 March.
As part of Earth Hour, Infant School turned their classroom lights and air-conditioning off for an hour on Thursday. They spent that special time listening to stories in the dark and having more fun outdoors! 23 March, Infant School.
The Senior Ensembles Concert was held on a bigger scale this year as students performed to a public audience in an open-air venue at Star Vista. 23 March 2017, Star Performing Arts Theatre.
Year 3 had a wonderful time, building their collaborative skills and independence and deepening their understanding of the animals they encountered during their Zoo Residential this week. 20 - 24 March, Singapore Zoo.
As part of Eco Week, Sodexo and Tanglin set up 'Pedal Blender' bicycles outside the Sixth Form Library to encourage reduction of power consumption. Students enjoyed fruit smoothies and had lots of fun in the process. 23 March, Cafe Vive.
Junior charity and Junior reps were invited to dress up with red noses to celebrate Red Nose Day in support of a fund raising event organised by Comic Relief - a UK charity organisation. Many thanks to British Airways for this wonderful opportunity.
