British-based Learning with an International Perspective

Junior School

Tanglin’s Junior School (Years 3 to 6) provides a broad and balanced curriculum that inspires, motivates and challenges children in their learning. The Junior School’s engaging learning environment facilitates a holistic approach to learning that provides children with a wide range of opportunities both in and out of the classroom that promote their personal, academic, creative and physical development.

Our creative and integrated curriculum is underpinned by a structured approach to teaching the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science and a commitment to high standards. The Junior School is an accredited member of the Independent Association of Prep Schools and children are well prepared for their senior school education. While standards are benchmarked against the very best in the UK, our curriculum reflects our international setting and celebrates diversity. We are particularly proud of the breadth of our provision and the many opportunities for children to achieve. Outstanding specialist teaching compliments our impressive facilities with sport, art, music and drama featuring prominently.

We aim to provide memorable experiences that foster a real love of learning and personal development. In addition to an exciting range of theme days and visitors, children from each year group participate in a residential visit. From camping at the Singapore Zoo to exploring the jungles of Borneo, Junior School children learn to contribute with confidence to our world.
