Tanglin Trust School stages a broad range of musical, dramatic, artistic, sporting, social and fundraising events each year. These events showcase the skills, energy and dedication of our students, staff and parents and they demonstrate the breadth of activities that take place at the School.
Each year we also welcome to the School special guests who wish to visit us during their stay in Singapore. Visitors to Tanglin have included the then British Prime Minister Tony Blair and his wife Cherie.
In 2005, Tanglin Trust School celebrated its 80th year of providing premier British schooling in Singapore with a calendar of special events entitled “A Year of Celebration”. The events on this calendar involved students aged from 3 to 18 and catered to a wide variety of interests.
Venues ranged from playing fields and one of our outdoor Indonesian bales at the School through to the Victoria Concert Hall and the Concert Hall of the Esplanade, Singapore’s most prestigious performing arts venue.
The variety of events staged by Tanglin Trust School demonstrates how we value both innovation and tradition. Through the commitment of students, parents, teachers and support staff, special events at Tanglin are exceptional.
In 2007, the School is in its 82nd year and special events will continue to be staged throughout the year. Please see our Event Preview and Event Review pages for further details.
