The Duke of Edinburgh's Award: A Lasting Legacy
Since its launch in 1956, the Duke of Edinburgh's Award spread to more than 140 different countries, including Singapore. Participation in the Award has inspired generations of young people around the world to make a positive impact on their own lives and the wider community. Its exponential growth, and the way it has equipped and empowered young people across communities, is truly remarkable – and an enduring legacy of its founder and patron, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, who passed away on Friday.

Merlions Set the Pace at the SNAG Swimming Championships
The 51st Singapore National Age Group (SNAG) Swimming Championships took place over the past two weekends and our Merlions were more than ready to put their year of training and February's SEASAC competition experience to the test! Our younger swimmers set the pace in the Junior Invitationals (12&U), recording top 10 finishes, personal best times, and school records.

Nathalie (Year 7) won five medals and proved herself to be one of the fastest 12&U swimmers in Singapore. In the Senior meet (13&O) the team made their most finals ever, with multiple top 10 finishes. Adding to the Junior meet medals, Katie (Year 12) won a gold and two silvers, lifting the team to their highest medal haul at these championships. Katie also made two British Swimming Olympic Trials qualifying times while Maddy (Year 9) and Tilly (Year 8) recorded times that made the top 25 rankings in their UK age groups.

Singapore Swimming Association put in an incredible amount of work to host these events, a huge thank you on behalf of our Merlions.

We can't wait to see how all our 14&U swimmers get on in the Virtual Singapore National Age Group competition, where the team is on track to win more SNAG medals and top 10 rankings.
