In line with its aim to celebrate student excellence, the Institute @ Tanglin kicked off the school’s first Exhibition of Excellence in Student Research for the Senior School earlier this week. The showcase included students' core curricular work such as the EE (Extended Essay), EPQ (Extended Project Qualification), Year 9 Foundation project, CAS (Creativity, Activity & Service), as well as co-curricular and external competitions / projects such as the World Scholars Cup.

Sohini Brandon-King, Director of Scholarship, Inquiry and Partnerships said: “The idea was to provide a platform for students to share work which they are passionate about and that involved in-depth research. In turn, we hope to encourage and inspire younger students to engage in such research or activities as they progress.”

Students' projects were shortlisted through the faculties' recommendation, and teachers selected what they thought were exceptional work.

“Moving forward, we hope to create more opportunities for students to engage with one another and also with experts in their areas of interest and engage in in-depth, interdisciplinary learning.” Sohini concluded.
