At Tanglin Trust School, we believe in providing a holistic education that values the importance of giving students new learning experiences beyond the classroom. Connor's recent international musical success is a testament to this approach. Despite being only in Year 2, Connor is already an accomplished musician who enjoys playing a variety of instruments. However, his proficiency on the violin has earned him international recognition.
At the start of 2024, Connor participated in the annual Little Mozarts International Music Competition, a unique juried music competition for children aged 3-14. This competition gives young musicians the opportunity to perform and receive their first applause. Connor was awarded a top three score for his audition and was subsequently invited to perform at the Winners Recital in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York on May 5th.
Performing at Carnegie Hall, one of the most prestigious music venues in the world, was a significant milestone in Connor's musical and personal development. He had an amazing time and was unfazed by the momentous occasion. His successful combined performance from his audition and live recital secured him first place!
We look forward to supporting Connor as he continues his musical journey at Tanglin.
