Congratulations to our students on another fantastic set of (I)GCSE results.
Our students have once again performed superbly with 74% of all grades achieved at either A, A* or equivalent, compared to 21.9% in England.
In addition, 98% of all grades achieved were A* to C or equivalent. This figure was 69.9% in England.
Other headlines include:
- 36% achieved A*, A or equivalent grades in all their GCSE subjects
- 7 students achieved A* or equivalent in all their GCSEs.
These are a huge credit to our students and add to a trio of outstanding results this summer. We are incredibly proud of our students' achievements in their written examinations and coursework.
Allan Forbes, Head of Senior School said: "I am absolutely thrilled by the success of our Year 11 students. These statistics and headlines make impressive reading and compare incredibly well to other schools in Singapore and the region as well as highly academic state and independent schools in the UK. I have witnessed where our success comes from first-hand, having a daughter who is part of this impressive group of students. I can therefore state with confidence that Tanglin's academic success stems from individual hard work, collaboration with fellow students, quality and caring teachers who are always willing to go the extra mile, and supportive parents. If students engage with their learning, they will achieve their best at Tanglin and these results are testament to this. Well done and congratulations to these dedicated and committed students as they move on to their Sixth Form studies at IB Diploma or A Level and further academic challenge and personal endeavour."
We wish all our new Year 12 students the best as they embark on their Sixth Form journeys.
