Congratulations to our 2021 (I)GCSE cohort for the outstanding set of GCSE results this year

In yet another extraordinary year, we are incredibly proud of our students' performance. Of all grades achieved, 61% of all grades achieved were A* or equivalent numerical grade. 83% of all grades achieved were either A, A* or equivalent, compared to 28.5% in the UK. 100% of all grades achieved were A* to C or equivalent, versus 76.9% in the UK.

Other notable academic achievements include:

  • 35% of all numerical grades achieved were 9
  • 46% achieved A*, A or equivalent grades in all their GCSE subjects
  • 69% of Year 11 students secured eight or more A*/A grades

Allan Forbes, Head of Senior School, Tanglin Trust said: "After yet another challenging year leading up to the release of (I)GCSE results, I am absolutely delighted with the outcomes for our 2021 cohort. I would like to congratulate all our students on their sheer hard work and resilience during this trying season and at the same time, thank our teaching, non-academic staff and Tanglin's parents for all their support. The students can now focus on the next stage of their education, whether that be IB or A Level."

We wish all our new Year 12 students the very best as they embark on their Sixth Form journeys.
