The Year 7 and 8 had a fantastic adventure in Thailand – the week-long residential gives the students hands – on outdoor experiences that help develop the three C’s of the Middle School: curiosity, confidence and community.
Tanglin was delighted to welcome the internationally renowned Brodsky String Quartet for an inspiring morning of performance and masterclass mentoring with four of our most advanced string chamber groups. Their visit was a memorable opportunity for our young musicians to learn from world-class performers and deepen their ensemble skills.
This week, Tanglin was honoured to welcome Jamie Amelio, Founder of Caring for Cambodia (CFC), celebrating more than 20 years of partnership, service and support across our school community. She spent time engaging with our students, staff and parents and shared insights about the ongoing work of CFC in Cambodia.
Thank you to all parents who came down to our Nursery Showcase this week. It was lovely seeing the children enjoying sharing their work and learnings to their family.
This week's Tanglin Tingle with Dr Malpass we celebrated Senior students’ achievements across service learning, languages, The Institute, and sporting excellence. Each individual recognised for the effort and commitment they brought to either their studies or co-curricular activities at Tanglin.
From author visits and storytelling sessions to book-inspired activities, World Book Week brought reading, creativity and imagination to life across Tanglin. On Thursday, it was especially wonderful to see so many creative book characters come to life too, as staff and students arrived dressed in costume!
Award-winning Australian author Tristan Bancks, known for the hilarious Tom Weekly books and gripping crime-mystery-suspense novels, spent time with students as part of Tanglin's World Book Week celebrations. He held literary workshops across year groups and shared more about two of his best-selling books - Two Wolves and The Fall. His visit was made possible by the support of the Foundation.
