This week, we kicked off the term with the presentation of the 2025 Tanglin Alumni of the Year Awards, celebrating three outstanding alumni for their achievements and impact.
Award recipient Gaurav Kripalani (Raeburn Park School and Tanglin Junior School), Director of Singapore Repertory Theatre, for Excellence in the Arts, joined us to accept his award and share insights from his journey in the arts.
This week, Year 12 explored the future of sustainable aviation in The Institute’s Aviation Workshop, tackling the challenge of how air travel can become greener while remaining reliable, affordable and energy-secure. With insights from experts at BOC Aviation and Rolls-Royce Singapore, they considered the real-world trade-offs shaping the industry’s future.
A Night Down Broadway was a fantastic student-led musical showcase, bringing famous Broadway songs to life with energy and flair. Well done to all!
Year 11 marked a special milestone at assembly with farewells, doughnuts, shirt signing and the presentation of their Class of 2028 hoodies.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award ceremony was a proud moment this week, recognising students for their dedication and perseverance.
Former Governor of Vermont Peter Shumlin shared insights on the realities of climate change, today’s global political landscape, and the urgent need for leadership and action. It was an engaging and thought-provoking session attended by staff, parents and students which encouraged reflection on how hope can be turned into meaningful action.
