Tanglin welcomed Singapore Ballet for a special Dance Appreciation Event, featuring three stunning works: Raymonda, Incomparable Beauty and Zin! Students, parents and staff enjoyed an inspiring evening of grace, precision and creativity, followed by student workshops over the weekend.
In Week 3, Year 6 welcomed Tanglin parent Mr Elliott Parsons, who shared his professional insights into market research and how businesses use data to make decisions. The session sparked curiosity and helped bring data handling and statistics to life in subsequent Maths lessons.
Junior students visited Esplanade Theatre to watch the Royal Shakespeare Company’s magical production of Roald Dahl’s The BFG.
With beautiful puppetry, magical moments and incredible acting, the production inspired our young performers — and was co-produced by Singapore Repertory Theatre, led by Tanglin Alumni of the Year Gaurav Kripalani.
They were also privileged to be invited by Ambassador Nikesh Mehta to Eden Hall for a special event with the cast and company of Les Misérables.
They enjoyed an inspiring Q&A session, heard behind-the-scenes stories, and had the chance to mingle with the performers over tea.
In Senior Drama, students from Year 7 to Year 13 enjoyed an exciting acting through singing workshop with Jordan Lee Davies also from the cast of Les Misérables. Jordan guided students through two iconic numbers, At the End of the Day and Do You Hear the People Sing?, in a fabulous afternoon of musical theatre.
Tanglin marked the first anniversary of the Junior Arts Centre with the Academy: Arts Celebration Event, honouring a year of student creativity and achievement.
The event celebrated the growth of the Academy: Arts programme, which offers personalised enrichment pathways for Junior students with exceptional interest and skill in the arts.
Junior House Sports Day brought together athleticism, teamwork and determination, as students took part in speed, throwing, strength and jumping events. Despite the heat, the energy was high, with fantastic support from parents cheering students on as they gave their best for their Houses.
