Week in Photos

Term 2, Week 10

The Junior school is delighted to welcome parents on campus this week to watch the Year 6 Arts Celebration. The children showcased performances in Music and Drama, and exhibited their artwork at the foyer. For many of our children this was their first time on stage in over two years and they impressed the audience with their exceptional energy and performance! View the slideshow below

In Senior School, drama co-curricular students from Year 7 and 8 performed ‘Ernie’s Incredible Illucinations’, a fast-paced comedy by, Alan Ayckbourn. The play is about the extraordinary powers of Ernie Fraser, a dreamer with a vivid imagination with the disconcerting ability of turning thoughts into reality. The actors had to play numerous roles and took the audience to a doctor’s surgery, war zone, fairground, boxing ring, library and up a mountain - all in 30 mins! The performers were amazing and the chorus was a joy to watch as they brought the show to life with their energy, comedic timing and obvious team-work. This was all made possible with the help of the Co-curricular tech team. Well done to all!

A team of talented Year 12 students created wonderful chalk art outside the Junior MPA highlighting the UN sustainability goals.

Across the school, Infant and Senior children also demonstrated creativity, teamwork and innovation in the classroom.

Beavers from Years 2 and 3 spent a morning at Camp Sarimbun. In their groups, they made catapults from large wooden sticks and lengths of rope to build up an appetite for their next adventure - cooking on fire. The Beavers gathered natural materials ready to make a fire, cook their lunch and of course completed their morning by toasting marshmallows!

On Friday, Infant children had their Magical Maths House Day where they took part in various activities that linked to their 'Keep Learning from our 5 Ways to Wellbeing' topic. Children in all classes worked independently and alongside friends to solve Mathematical puzzles and problems. Recycled materials such as bottles collected for Eco Week were used for some of these fun activities!
