From making art and playing with building blocks to throwing bean bags through hoops, activities in the Year 1 unit are never short of fun!
In the Infant School, children have learned about the pitfalls of online gaming and in-app purchases whilst considering how private information should not be shared online.
An Art display by the National Gallery Singapore is seen at the Infant foyer where you can learn more about batik-making processes and techniques!
Our Year 7 students have had a very busy time at Sarimbun this week on their first Senior school year group adventure trip. They exhibited a huge range of the character strengths which they have been learning about through assemblies, form time and PSCHE/life skills. From the super competitive games of Archery tag to the strategic swinging tyre challenge they enjoyed developing their teamwork, judgement, leadership and communication skills. Curiosity and creativity were in evidence for both the catapult building and the delicious camp fire cooking sessions. Bridge building across to the Milo pond island using wooden poles and strong rope was a firm favourite and many of the students displayed great bravery as they made their way across the sometimes fragile creations! Their sense of adventure was on display again as they enjoyed the experience of the slippery muddy slide right into the heart of the Milo pond! (Water activities enable the students to remove their masks.)
This week, Year 4 children started their rehearsals in preparation for ESB exams on February 14.
It's Space Day in Year 5! We love seeing the children in their creative costumes, sharing their love for all things Science and participating in activities related to this term's topic of 'Breaking Boundaries'. See slideshow below for photos of the exciting day.
