Week in Photos

Term 3, Week 4

At the Junior SEASAC event last week, Tanglin was represented by 50 swimmers aged between 10-14, who competed against 14 other SEASAC schools. We saw lots of smiles on the faces of swimmers and parents, who were allowed back for the first competitive swim meet in two years. A big well done to the 13-14 girls’ team for taking the crown in their category, and to our combined girls’ swim teams that won the Junior and Senior SEASAC competitions, earning Tanglin the title of #1 girls’ team.

Year 10 Work Experience Week (WEX) kicked off on Monday with a talk by Grant 'Axe' Rawlinson ; motivational speaker, coach and Founder of Powerful Humans. In the 60-min session, Grant imparted the concept of having an Explorer’s Mindset through his own experience of being the first person to attempt a completely human-powered 12,000 km journey from Singapore to New Zealand by boat and bicycle.

The Tanglin Playing Field was bustling with life on Wednesday as it was the first friendly Junior football fixture in more than two years! Year 3 children from Tanglin and SJI International had a ball of a time. Check out their happy faces!

For Year 7 Charity week, senior students took part in various activities around the school to raise funds for their year group charity - Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA). Together, they raised $2,862.88. Thank you to everyone in the community who contributed!

Nursery children were in for a treat when they bumped into Ms Cardin who had our resident feathered friends, Daffy and Donald with her during their Forest School lesson. They were thrilled to see how much our two ducks had grown and had lots of questions to ask - from how much they eat to how big they can grow!

At Tanglin, we pride ourselves on being a school that provides our children with exceptional, unparalleled opportunities. Regardless of their passions and talents, we hope they will be able to find something to fully immerse themselves in and have fun while they do it! We had a chance to capture some of these moments when Junior co-curricular activities were running as usual after school. From Masterchef to Hockey to the 'Chill Zone' - everyone found something they took delight in!
