Tanglin is unique in Singapore for offering a 'Dual Pathway' in the Sixth Form (Years 12-13), allowing students to choose between A-Levels or the IB Diploma. This approach ensures students can play to their individual academic strengths.

How is the IB different from A Levels at Tanglin?

The IB Diploma offers a broad, holistic curriculum, while A-Levels allow for deep specialization in three or four subjects. Both pathways are supported by our 2025 BSO 'Outstanding' rated faculty and lead to world-class university placements.

Our 3-18 structure ensures a seamless transition into the Sixth Form. Building on the foundation of our Senior School (Years 7-11), students are prepared for the rigours of Key Stage 5 and beyond, anchored by our 2025 BSO 'Outstanding' standards.

Thanks to the academic choices available to our students and the wonderful pastoral support system in place, Tanglin’s Sixth Form (the culmination of Senior School for Years 12 & 13, ages 16 to 18) is a place where young people can thrive, succeed and live balanced lives within their time in Tanglin and beyond.

Our outcomes are outstanding; outstanding academic achievements, outstanding individuals with outstanding global Higher Education destinations. Most of our graduates move on to study at their 1^st or 2^nd choice of university.
