Tanglin’s diverse and inclusive sports programme provides a learning environment which encourages each child to achieve their personal best. We aim to inspire and nurture a lifelong participation in sport.
At Tanglin we believe that participation in sport is an essential part of a holistic education. With a core programme of team games, and a wide variety of individual sports and activities, we aim to develop the potential of all students through a positive experience in sport.
Tanglin’s diverse and inclusive sports programme provides a learning environment which encourages each child to achieve their personal best, and supports students with the potential and aspiration to excel. With access to world class facilities, students receive high-quality coaching in activities which include a wide range of games, martial arts, wrestling, judo, parkour, climbing, gymnastics, and swimming.
Each year our teams play over 600 fixtures across Singapore, with our most able students competing in more than 40 different tournaments across the region.
Rugby competitions have been hard to come by over the last two years due to the pandemic. Therefore, it was wonderful to finally see Tanglin's U19's playing again in a format of the game that Andy Martin, Tanglin's Head of Rugby and Infants Learning Support teacher, believe could become quite popular over the next few years.
‘Being a member of the Tanglin sporting community has been the highlight of my education so far. Having the opportunity to train and play in a variety of sports throughout Middle School equipped me with the skills, knowledge, and resilience I needed to play at a higher level in Touch, where I have enjoyed the chance to compete across the region and beyond”. - Mille N.
